Mount Jeffcott Flora & Fauna Reserve- Victoria

November 6, 2016 0 Comments

If your on the road between Donald and Charlton in Country Victoria, there are plenty of spots to take a break, not only is there Wooroonook Lake, there is also Mount Jeffcott Flora & Fauna Reserve. Both places are ideal to take a short break or have an overnight stay.

To find the  Mount Jeffcott Flora and Fauna reserve,  turn off the Borung Highway onto Camerons Mail Road, where you will pass the range before you arrive at the base of Mount Jeffcott. There is plenty of parking at the base and their is a  newly established picnic shelter area with Gas BBQ.

Whilst the walk is short (We estimate 500 metres) it’s an exhilarating climb to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views across the plains. We recommended wearing good walking shoes as the climb is steep with unstable rocks.  There is a picnic table at the summit for you sit down and take a rest however if your unable to make the walk up the mount, you can take your four wheel drive up there to capture the fantastic views.

Here is another one to add to your free attractions and overnight stays. Enjoy! 🙂
