Located across the road of the Murray River is the lovely well maintained Berri Riverside Caravan Park in South Australia. We stayed here one night on our way to Ayres Rock in the Northern Territory. We payed $30 for an unpowered camping site, whilst at the time we thought the price was a bit steep, after reviewing all the facilities in the park the $30 a night is well worth it.
The park is very well maintained and spacious. It has everything you need even if you’re booking a cabin or caravan/camping site. The park has plenty for the kids, basketball, volleyball, jumping pillow, playground and pool. For the adults there 2 camp kitchens, BBQs and a function hall that serves well for chatting with other campers.
The park is opposite the boat ramp so if you’re a keen fisherman or lover of water activities the caravan park is an ideal location for you.
Our camping site offered a tent pad surrounded by shady trees and green grass. We utilised both camp kitchens, the one closest to our site at the back of the park had 2 Fridges, Microwave, Kettle, Full Size Oven and plenty of undercover shade.
The bigger camp kitchen was pretty amazing. Fitted out with all new modern facilities including chef ovens, microwaves, fridges, kettles and toasters. The kitchen was fully enclosed and offered 8 tables and plenty of chairs. There was also heat strips to keep the room warm during the winter months. There were also many power points in the kitchen, if you need to charge any laptops or phones it was an ideal spot. A caravan park that offers dishwashing liquid and cloths for free in a camp kitchen is pretty good to us!
We were impressed with our stay here in Berri, we have now stayed at 2 Caravan Parks in the Riverland area and have not been disappointed by either of them. Berri Riverside & Renmark Riverside are excellent parks and recommend giving them a try. For details on our stay at Renmark Riverside see here.
